Art Conservation Work
Ventura City Dept. of Cultural Affairs Public Art Conservation

Tobie is working with the Ventura City Department of Cultural Affairs Public Art Conservation. She helps to maintain over 40 artworks in the Ventura Public Art Collection, restoring their vibrancy and ensuring that they will remain in our community in excellent condition in the years ahead.

Public Art and Conservation Internship
June – August, 2007

Interns are degree candidates and graduates of Fine Arts at California State University at Channel Islands. During the course of the summer, interns will work to conserve nearly 40 sculptures in our City's Public Art Collection, including the sculpture of Father Junipero Serra and the 32 mile markers that line the Ventura River Trail.

Art Opening
City of Ventura public works

Friday, March 23rd - 11:00am.
At the mini-park on the corner of Santa Clara and California St., the city of Ventura will be holding a public art opening for 17 local artists who were selected to create original murals to be displayed at various locations around the city to help beautify our area while also helping to create an effective graffiti deterrent.
